The Thunderbirds battled with a tough Gillette College team last night and kept the fans on the edge of their seats for the whole forty minutes. Trailing 69-62 with under five minutes remaining, Casper College coach Joel Davidson called a play for the Thunderbirds out of a timeout. The play was for the pre-season All-American Jerrold Brooks, and he delivered.  knocking down a 3-pointer to start a 19-4 run by the T-Birds to close the game as they rallied for a hard-fought 81-73 victory against the Pronghorns at Swede Erickson T-Bird Gym.

The Thunderbirds regained first place in the north sub-region with the victory and are now 20-7 overall, 11-4 in Region IX North sub-region play.  Jerrold Brooks led all scorers with 25 points while going 6 for 9 from three.  Darrious Curry went 8-14 from the floor and scored 18 big points including two thunderous dunks on lobs from Tyler Larson and Jerrold Brooks.
