Austin Kofoed

Joel Davidson and his staff are happy to announce the signing of Evanston, Wyoming native Austin Kofoed.  Austin is a 6’4”, 200 pound shooting guard who comes to Casper fresh off his LDS Mormon Mission in Portland, OR.  The Wyoming native joined the Casper College Men’s Basketball program after serving two years and returning for the spring semester.

“Austin comes from a great program and a great coach in Bubba O’Neill.  He has been taught very well as far as team defense, moving without the ball, and shooting off the move.” said Assistant Coach Dan Russell.  “He will give us added depth at the wing position being a player who can really stretch the defense with his ability to shoot the ball out to 20 feet.”

Kofoed was an All-State and All-Conference selection for the Red Devils and was also selected to the Wyoming All-Star team coached by T-Bird’s Head Coach, Joel Davidson.  The Thunderbirds are extremely lucky to have a kid like Austin who can really shoot the ball and is a good team and perimeter defender.

Coach Joel Davidson had this to say about the signing of Austin Kofoed, “Not only is he a talented shooter and good defender, but his maturity and leadership will also help our team out tremendously.  You can’t put a price tag on the qualities that Austin possesses.”  As for the Casper College Thunderbirds, Austin Kofoed will have a key role in getting program back to “Hutch!”
